Position: Senior Associate

Adam qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined Blythe Liggins in 2013. Adam has been acting for clients who have suffered serious injury for over 10 years.

Casey is a Trainee Solicitor at Blythe Liggins and began her two-year Training Contract in March 2021.

Casey started at Blythe Liggins in 2018 as a Legal Secretary, alongside studying the Legal Practice Course and a Masters in Law at the University of Law in Birmingham.

Casey graduated from Coventry University with a 2:1 LLB Law (Hons) degree in 2016.

In her spare time, Casey enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a theatre lover and attends the theatre as often as she can. Casey also likes listening to music and watching as many TV shows/films as possible (Friends being her favourite, of course).”

Christopher Bowen

Position: Associate

Christopher has been with Blythe Liggins since October 2013, when he started at the firm working in the residential conveyancing department.

Christopher is a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Department.

Christopher read History at Sheffield Hallam University before he embarked on his legal career and completed his Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course (whilst working for Blythe Liggins) at the University of Law in Birmingham.

In his spare time, Christopher enjoys playing badminton, cycling and skiing and has a keen interest in history.

Claire Kirwan

Claire qualified as a solicitor at Blythe Liggins in 1998 and became a partner in 2002. She has been the head of the Personal Injury Department for almost 20 years and sits on the firm’s Executive and Marketing Committees. Darryl Barnes

Darryl joined Blythe Liggins more than 30 years ago and is a key member of the Dispute Resolution team. Darryl has wide experience acting in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Donna Bothamley

Donna joined Blythe Liggins in 2000 and has been a partner since 2008. Donna is the head of the Wills and Probate team. Donna has an in-depth level of experience in matters relating to Wills, probate, care funding and court of protection work. Lisa Thornton

Lisa joined the firm of Blythe Owen-George in 1983 as a junior in the Accounts Department and has worked her way up to the top spot. She is responsible for producing the firm’s management accounts, VAT accounting and generally overseeing all aspects of the accounts department functions with particular attention to client monies and the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.

Lois Harrison

Position: Senior Associate

Lois trained at Blythe Liggins whilst studying the Graduate Diploma in Law followed by the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, before qualifying as a Solicitor. Louise Hunt

Louise has specialised in family law since 2014 having trained at a tier one national firm in Birmingham.

Louise assists clients through the often very difficult experience of relationship breakdown. Her work includes advising clients in relation to divorce, both complex and straightforward financial arrangements as well as cohabitation issues. Louise also advises in respect of wealth protection and preparing pre and post-marital agreements. Philip Morris

Richard Moon

He became a privileged member of the RFU in 2006 and was recently elected Secretary of the Privileged Members Association. He is also a former Chairman of the RFU Disciplinary panel in the Midlands. Amongst those who have consulted Richard for specialist advice are international rugby coaches, international athletics coaches and county cricket coaches, as well as footballers and rugby players.

Richard remains a keen sportsman and is Chairman of Ashorne & Moreton Morrell Cricket Club. He can be heard commentating on rugby matches for BBC CWR local radio and Five Live Sports Extra. He enjoys classical and contemporary music. Richard is a former Trustee of Myton Hospices.

Sophia Mellor

Position: Associate

Sophia has specialised in family law since 2007. She heads our family law Department, having previously headed a childcare Department and throughout her practice has always focused on providing excellent client care.

Sophia has an understanding and personable demeanour and is able to understand the needs of clients during this difficult period of their lives. She is also able to take a robust view and is realistic about what can be achieved in terms of reaching a settlement.

Tim Lester

Tim joined Blythe Liggins in 2003, teaming up with his brother David to act for a wide variety of clients both locally and throughout the country. Tim is part of the firm’s Executive Committee which oversees the management of the firm. He enjoys listening to a variety of music which just about extends to the music played by his sons in two local bands. Tim is a governor of a local primary school, having previously been Chair for a number of years.
