Date for 2027 Two Castles Run Confirmed

Much-loved summer event will return for its 43rd year as runners hit the roads between Warwick and Kenilworth castles

The date for the 43rd annual Two Castles Run has been confirmed following the record-breaking 2026 edition of the celebrated Warwickshire event.

The 2027 run will take place on Sunday, June 13, and follows the success of this year’s race, which saw more than 5,000 runners take part.

A total of 5,220 official finishers completed the challenging 10k course between Warwick Castle and Kenilworth Castle – the biggest number to take part in the event’s history.

Several good causes benefit from the event, with runners invited to donate to The Myton Hospices when they sign up.

Richard Clarke, Kenilworth Runners race director, said: “We increased the numbers in 2026 to make it the largest-ever Two Castles Run, with 5,200 runners crossing the finish line.

“The event was a huge success, so we’re aiming to keep it at the same size in 2027. We’ll be making a few tweaks over the winter and will continue modernising the planning and organisation of the race.

“It’s great to have the date confirmed to work towards – the race really is a summer centrepiece event for Warwickshire and we’re excited to get planning for next year.”

The event has enjoyed long-term backing from Leamington solicitors Blythe Liggins, which pledged to sponsor the race for another five editions earlier this year.

Donna Bothamley, partner at Blythe Liggins Solicitors, said: “The Two Castles is a firm fixture in the county’s summer calendar and an event we all look forward to every year.

“Interest in the race and demand for spaces goes up every time, and we’re sure 2027 will be no different. It also guarantees some fantastic charities will benefit, not least The Myton Hospices, a cause we have supported over many years.

“We were delighted to be able to extend our long-term sponsorship of the Two Castles and it’s great to get the date marked on the calendar for 2027 already.”
