Venetia is a Chartered Legal Executive and Advocate and Litigator specialising in Financial Remedy proceedings following Divorce and Private Law Children Act proceedings. Venetia is well suited to her specialism as she has a BA Honours in Business and Marketing, a PgD in electronic business, an LLB in Law and a Masters in Law.

Venetia has extensive experience in all family law matters as she has been practicing since 2006.

Venetia enjoys representing her clients in Court as she is competent advocate and is described by other members of the legal profession as ‘fearless and always with a smile on her face’. Despite this, Venetia always tries to ensure that matters are resolved without the need for litigation if possible as this will usually bring more benefit to her clients.

Venetia loves law and is always keen to give back to the legal profession. She is a mentor for Judges on equality and diversity matters and an SRG Advisor for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives

Charlotte joined Blythe Liggins in June 2025 to support the firm’s thriving Family department.

Charlotte qualified as a solicitor in 2009, having completed her training contract at a Birmingham city centre firm. Charlotte has over five years’ experience as a specialist family law solicitor. After taking time out of her career to care for her family, Charlotte’s speciality is working on high net worth financial resolution cases.

Charlotte strives for a successful outcome for clients by applying a thorough and detailed approach. With impressive attention to detail, Charlotte will certainly be an attribute to resolve any issues or disputes over your family finances.

Alisha joined the Dispute Resolution team at Blythe Liggins as a paralegal in April 2024 and was promoted to graduate solicitor apprentice in January 2025. As part of her apprenticeship, she is currently studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) alongside gaining valuable skills and knowledge within the office.

Before joining Blythe Liggins, Alisha graduated from Aston University with a 2:1 law degree in 2021. Alisha went on to work in a tax and trust corporation and then a well-established law firm in Coventry, specialising in wills, trusts and probate matters. 

Alisha’s background has fostered a professional yet empathetic approach to her client work and she looks forward to further developing her expertise as she progresses in her legal career.

Outside of work, Alisha enjoys time with her family, watching Manchester United, going to the gym, reading romance books, and unwinding with reality TV.

Loren joined Blythe Liggins in 2023. She worked in our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department for one year before she progressed to a trainee solicitor. Loren qualified as a solicitor in March 2026 and now specialises in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence.

Before joining Blythe Liggins, Loren read law at the University of Leicester achieving a first-class law degree and then completed her Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws degree, achieving a distinction.

Loren has an incredible eye for detail and is passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

She also helps to organise some of our charity and networking events and supports our administrative work for the WPH Charitable Trust.

Loren lives in Warwickshire and in her spare time she enjoys travelling, visiting heritage sites, long walks, hiking and paddleboarding.

Jacqui has been a valued member of the Blythe Liggins’ team for over thirty years. She started her legal career in the Family department working for a senior partner and district judge, before moving to our Dispute Resolution team. 

Specialising in the recovery of commercial and consumer debts, Jacqui has acted for both large businesses and private individuals. She has gained invaluable knowledge of the court system, having worked in the county court process for over thirty years.

She is tenacious in her work and her advice is always commercially oriented. Jacqui brings a calm efficiency to her work and focuses on getting her clients the result they are after.

Jacqui lives locally and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Jacqui is passionate about the countryside and horses. In her spare time, Jacqui has competed in most equestrian disciplines, including dressage, show jumping and eventing.

Julia qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and has specialised in employment law since 2000. She joined Blythe Liggins in 2022 as principal associate and as the head of our Employment law department. Julia is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. 

She is a trusted adviser to both employers and employees, helping them navigate issues which they encounter at work. Julia’s attention to detail makes her stand out from her competitors. 

Julia is a French speaker, having graduated from the University of Leicester with a degree in Law with French (Honours). She also obtained a diploma in French Legal Studies at the Robert Schumann University in Strasbourg.

In her spare time, Julia enjoys taking part in amateur dramatics, treading the boards as well as providing backstage support.

Kayleigh joined the Private Client department in 2021 as an experienced paralegal. She started her legal career in 2013 as a legal assistant, having gained a wealth of experience at two regional firms. 

Kayleigh regularly meets clients, and her compassionate and sympathetic nature helps her to connect with clients during the difficult family situations that arise during the transaction. Kayleigh spends quality time with her clients to develop an understanding of their circumstances to maximise the support, advice and reassurance that she will provide them with.

Kayleigh was raised in the local area and has a good knowledge of the surrounding neighbourhoods. She has a young family who she cherishes, and she enjoys spending time with them and her wider family. Kayleigh also likes live music, reading and drawing in her free time.

Claire qualified as a solicitor in 1998, became head of the Personal Injury and Medical Negligence department in 2000 and was made partner in 2002. 

She sits on the firm’s Executive and Marketing Committees, and manages the firm’s complaints. Claire has advised on BBC’s Watchdog, Sky’s Legal TV and numerous local radio interviews. She also voices the firm’s Hits Radio commercial.

David qualified as a solicitor in 1986 with Blythe, Owen-George & Co. He became head of the firm’s Commercial team in 1995 and is the senior partner of Blythe Liggins. He also chairs the firm’s Executive Committee. During his career, David has dealt with a great number of corporate, commercial and property matters, many high value and complex transactions and has acted for national, well-known names and brands.

Donna joined Blythe Liggins in 2000 and qualified as a solicitor in 2002. She became a partner in 2008 and is head of the Private Client team. She also sits on the firm’s Executive Committee and is the chair of the firm’s Marketing Committee. 

Donna has an in-depth level of experience in matters relating to wills, probate, care funding and court of protection work. She offers practical, sensible advice to her clients and has prepared wills for all manner of clients and brings the same, personal touch to all of them. 

Donna has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 2005 and is a fully accredited member of Lifetime Lawyers. Donna is a trained Dementia Friend and has undertaken bereavement training.

Donna lives locally with her husband and two children. She is a volunteer on local committees and enjoys spending time with her family, horse riding and walking her dog.

Fareen qualified as a solicitor in 2019, following the completion of her Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws at the University of Law, having previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights. She joined Blythe Liggins in 2024 as an associate solicitor in the Dispute Resolution department. 

With experience acting for both claimants and defendants, Fareen has handled high-value cases in the county court, high court, and the Royal Courts of Justice. She has worked on contentious probate matters, such as Chandler v Lombardi [2022] EWHC 22 (Ch), and secured a high court injunction in Uddin & Begum v Hussain & Islam (2023) to prevent the sale of a family home.

Fareen is known for her practical approach and commitment to achieving the best results, always prioritising efficient solutions and exceptional client service.

Jagdeep qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and joined Blythe Liggins as the head of the Dispute Resolution department in 2021 having moved from a well-regarded regional firm in the Thames Valley. Jagdeep became a partner in 2023. 

Specialising in Dispute Resolution, Jagdeep has acted for both claimants and defendants in the county court and high court and has extensive experience in assisting clients at mediation. He regularly acts for SME’s and high net worth individuals on a range of complex disputes.

Jagdeep is sensible and pragmatic when advising clients and always considers the commercial reality of litigation when advising. Jagdeep was awarded the Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer status in 2017.

Jagdeep lives locally, is married and is a father of two young boys. He is a keen football fan having supported Liverpool Football Club from a young age. Jagdeep also has a keen interest in history, architecture and travel.

Lisa joined the firm of Blythe, Owen-George and Co. as a junior account assistant in 1986, helping with a smooth merger in 1988 when the firm became Blythe Liggins.  She completed the Association of Accounting Technicians course and was admitted as a member in 2003. Lisa has been the accounts manager since 2004 and is now helping to train the next generation of accountants.

Lisa lives in the north Cotswolds with her husband and a garage full of minis. Spare time is split between keeping the cars maintained and renovating the house, with the occasional holiday to Yorkshire thrown in. Lisa enjoys cooking, listening to music, and walking. She has run the Two Castles several times but has now hung up her running shoes.

Justine joined Blythe Liggins in March 2025 as practice administrator, a role that is both varied and wide-ranging. 

She is fundamental in recruiting staff and offering support and encouragement to the firm’s existing employees and the higher management. Justine is extremely diligent as she proactively ensures that the firm continues to comply with the Lexcel Quality Standard, and adherence with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.   

Justine is well-resourced with over twenty years of experience in office management, IT administration, and executive support. She previously spent sixteen years at her last workplace where she excelled in service coordination, HR support, event planning and overseeing daily operations. 

She now brings to the firm a wealth of information, and training in systems management, team leadership and customer service. 

Justine lives locally with her husband and two children. Outside of work, Justine enjoys spending time with her family, walking, attending the gym, and socialising.

Jessica qualified as a solicitor at Blythe Liggins in 2020 and has been with the firm since 2014. She read Law at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham and successfully completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Birmingham. 

During her time at the firm, Jessica has gained a high level of experience in dealing with complex estates together with the preparation of wills and lasting powers of attorney. She prides herself on client satisfaction and aims to deal with your matter in a sympathetic and efficient manner. Jessica is an active member of the firm’s Marketing Committee.

Outside of work, Jessica is a keen runner and has completed numerous marathons and countless half marathons. She also enjoys taking part in the annual Two Castles Run (which is sponsored by Blythe Liggins).

Amrit joined Blythe Liggins in March 2024 as a conveyancing executive in the Property department. Amrit completed her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at the University of South Wales and then went on to study the Legal Practice Court and Master of Laws at the University of Law. 

Prior to joining the firm, Amrit worked for various established firms across the West Midlands and has specialised in residential property for almost 10 years. Amrit prides herself on her professionalism and friendly approach when dealing with clients and other parties involved in a transaction.

Helen joined Blythe Liggins in 2001 as an experienced conveyancer, having previously worked for a mortgage lender, dealing with repossession litigation and property sales. Helen became head of Property in August 2024 and sits on the firm’s Marketing Committee.

Refined with 35 years of experience, Helen appreciates that property transactions can be extremely stressful, and she is well-versed in guiding clients in residential transactions, including more specialist areas of leaseholds, shared ownership and granting and terminating rights of way and easements. 

Helen’s meticulous attention to the individual circumstances and compassionate approach means that she is committed to offering clients an efficient and honest service. Helen will progress matters expeditiously, as reflected in her wonderful client feedback.  

Helen enjoys outdoor life, often walking, cycling, and kayaking.  She fills her time with family and friends and enjoys a wide range of music, which plays a role in all the above.

Paul joined the Private Client team in 1990 and qualified as a chartered legal executive in 1992. Paul is also responsible for organising the firm’s participation in the Two Castles Run since the firm first sponsored the event in 2006.

With over 35 years of experience, Paul is well adept in advising on complex and high value estates, preparation of wills and codicils, and deputyship applications. Paul is also a Dementia Friend and works sympathetically with those who have lost capacity. 

Paul familiarises himself with his clients and treats them with compassion and understanding throughout the transaction. He leaves his clients feeling reassured, and confident that he will achieve the desired outcome. 

Paul was raised locally and is a Coventry City Football Club fan. He currently coaches a local junior football team, and enjoys cycling and running in his spare time, having participated in local wolf runs, and the London and Birmingham marathons.

Nick qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and spent over ten years at another Warwickshire firm (including time as a partner there) before joining Blythe Liggins in 2010. 

His experience and detailed knowledge of commercial matters give him a sound understanding of the challenges facing businesses. With a wealth of experience spanning well over twenty years, Nick is adept at finding solutions to whatever problems may arise during a transaction to ensure his clients achieve their objectives. He has advised a wide variety of different clients over the years from sports governing bodies to marina operators and property developers, and from an engineering business to hairdressers and cafes.

Nick lives locally and is married with now grown-up twins. In his spare time, he has many sporting interests including watching (and sometimes playing) football and rugby. Nick even occasionally tries to play golf.

Kevin joined Blythe Liggins in 1994 as a trainee solicitor. He completed his training with the firm in 1996 and qualified as a solicitor in the firm’s Commercial department. Kevin became a partner in 1999. 

Kevin sits on the firm’s Website and Executive Committees and is the firm’s training principal. He is also the firm’s compliance officer for legal practice. 

Kevin specialises in commercial law and the more expert areas of charity and sports law.  Kevin has experience with several well-known businesses and charities, and his clients can be assured that he provides clear, strategic, and cost-effective advice to help them achieve the desired outcomes. 

Kevin lives locally and is married with two children. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys playing golf, cycling, and watching cricket and rugby. Kevin has also been the chairman of the Leamington Cricket Club since 2015 and sits on the Disciplinary Committee for the Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League.

Lois joined Blythe Liggins straight from college and studied alongside her full-time job. She qualified as a solicitor in 2016, after attaining a first-class law degree and a distinction in her Legal Practice Course. Lois became a partner in April 2025. 

Lois specialises in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence and has worked in the team since 2008. She has experience in dealing with a wide range of claims, including the specialist area of medical negligence. Lois works tirelessly to obtain the best possible results for her clients and frequently receives glowing feedback from her clients who credit her professionalism, approachability, and determination. 

Lois also sits on the firm’s Website Committee and is the secretary for the WPH Charitable Trust. 

Lois lives locally with her husband. She is a trustee at Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, a cause very close to her heart.  In her spare time, Lois enjoys Pilates, walking, reading and travelling.

Sophia qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and joined Blythe Liggins in 2018 as head of the Family department. Sophia was made partner in 2023.
