Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1982 having been articled at the firm and he became a Partner in 1984. He was educated at Warwick School and the University of Nottingham . He is a joint Senior Partner and a member of the firm's Executive Committee heading up the Litigation Department.

Background

Richard has acted for most of the firm's major clients in cases from the local County Court through to the Court of Appeal. In recent years he has specialised in professional negligence, partnership and contract disputes. He is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers' Association.

Interests

Richard is a member of Warwickshire, Leamington and Ashorne & Moreton Morrell Cricket Clubs, Moreton Morrell Real Tennis Club and Warwick Boat Club and has at one time or another served on committees for most of these Clubs. His wife is a teacher at Warwick School and King's High School for Girls. In his spare time Richard continues to play cricket and tennis and enjoys periodically escaping to the north Norfolk coast.
