Peter is a Partner in the Litigation Department specialising in personal injury work. He is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel. Peter also has a particular interest in Licensing with over 25 years' experience in acting for all types of premises with licensing requirements, such as hotels, pubs, members' clubs, restaurants and off-licences. Peter had a particularly busy year in 2005 dealing with the transitional provisions arising from the coming into force of the Licensing Act 2003.

Background

Peter started his career with the firm in 1977 as an articled clerk. He was educated at Warwick School and Oxford University. Peter qualified in 1979 and became a Partner in 1983.

Interests

Peter has a wide-ranging interest in vintage transport, particularly classic cars, of which he has three, and steam locomotives. For the last 14 years he has been Chairman of the Standard Motor Club and was instrumental in organising the centenary celebrations for this well known Coventry marque in 2003. He has travelled around the world in search of surviving steam locomotives.
