Our Sports Law Unit has considerable experience at all levels across a variety of sports including rugby, cricket, bowls, equestrianism, golf, swimming, football, tennis and athletics. Our lawyers act for a wide range of national governing bodies, clubs, organisations, agents, coaches and sportsmen and women from grassroots level to Olympic sports’ governing bodies and elite athletes.

Our clients have included Bowls England, Amateur Swimming Association/British Swimming, Riding for the Disabled Association, British Eventing, British Blind Sport, English Womens Golf Association (now part of England Golf), Rugby Coaches Association, the Elite Cricket Coaches Association rugby clubs, county cricket coaches, international rugby coaches, national performance directors, rugby players, footballers and equestrian eventers. We are equally comfortable advising local sports clubs and bodies on issues relevant to them.

Our principal sports law team comprises 3 solicitors including Richard Moon who is a former England Rugby union international and former member of the RFU Committee and the RFU Disciplinary panel. Other specialist advice is provided by Kevin Mitchell and Nick Watts. Our team are members of the British Association of Sport and Law and the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers. Above all, our lawyers understand the world and business of sport and have a passion for sport.
