MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING

The family law team hosted a coffee morning on Friday 30th September to support MacMillan nurses. The event was part of the “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”.
Besides baking cakes for the coffee morning, friends and staff took part in various activities in order to raise money including a raffle with many staff donating prizes and buying tickets.
The coffee morning was highly successful and many friends and colleagues popped into the office that morning to lend their support.
The firm raised over £300.
Andrew Brooks, head of the family law team said “I am delighted that we were able to raise such a significant amount for MacMillan and would like to thank all those who offered their support on the 30th September. The event was a huge success. So many families are affected by cancer and we were pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile charity”
Early indications from Macmillan predict that the charity is on course to smash last year’s target. Last year’s coffee morning raised more than £8 million nationwide, helping Macmillan nurses to support some two million people living with cancer.
